i have p510k, when i print pictures have blue lines. how can i fix it?

    • If it is coming out like this:
First please get into the admin to set ribbon and paper size before printing. Try cleaning the thermal head.
Please contact HiTi service center for repair if problem still exists after cleaning the surface of print head. It could be TPH physical damage issue. Tech Support # (909) 594-0099 (Option #2)

If the line is a thick line like this:

This could be a compatibility problem which is between PC/laptop and printer, or a hardware problem which happened to printer. Please try a different USB port, external USB adapter or another PC. If the problem keeps occurring, please contact your HiTi service center for assistance. Tech Support # (909) 594-0099 (Option #2)

Other things to take in mind:
      1. Update printer firmware and driver to the latest version.
      2. Make sure ribbon chip is correct.
      3. Make sure the ribbon cartridge you are using matches the type of paper roll. The ribbon cartridge and paper roll come in a set. The 6×4 and 6×9 ribbon cartridges can be used with the 6 inches paper roll, but the 5×7 ribbon cartridge can only work with 5 inches paper roll.
      4. Make sure setting of paper size at driver tool is correct if you use 3rd party (i.e. Photoshop, Windows Viewer, Picasa… etc.) software to print (if not Picvite).

    Hello,

I just purchased an hiti p510k printer and i would like to connect it to my computer via an ethernet cable, do you know if its possible? or can we only connect it to a computer with an usb cable?
    Thank you for your answer.

    Dylan

    • It is not possible to do so as that printer does not have an ethernet input. The only connections it has available to offer are Serial Ports, USB port and USB Device Socket. Hope that helps.

Hello, I have bought a HiTi P510L in the US, I also get two boxes of media, the problem is that when I try to print an error appears “unsupported ribbon”, I also have a HiTi 510s and happens the same thing with these new ribbons, I tried with an older ribbon I had bought a year ago and both printers work fine. Could the 4 ribbons be damaged or I need to do something about the firmware of my printers. I download the latest version of the driver and I am using a macbook pro and an imac, nothing works.
    Thanks
    Eduardo

    • Please try another ribbon cartridge to ensure what the problem is (To confirm it is a ‘ribbon cartridge detecting problem’ or ‘printer’s detecting problem’.) Please use an eraser to clean the chip that is attached to the ribbon cartridge if it is a ‘ribbon cartridge problem’.

      1. Remove the ribbon.
      2. Clean the chip on the side of the ribbon and re-install ribbon.
      3. If the error message still exists, try to install a different new ribbon.
If the error message still occurs, please contact your nearest HiTi distributor or HiTi
      customer service center.

Hi, I would like to ask what cable do you use to connect the PC via USB port? Is it included in the printer box? Thank you!

    • Hello Rui,
If you mean by making the printer a stand alone printer and connecting it through the back panel then it is a typical 2.0 USB cable. YOu can not connect a USB cable from the front USB slot. You can only insert a USB flash drive from there.
On your second question, Yes, it is included in the box.

You get all these items in the box:
      – 2 x Flanges
      – 2 x Spacers
      – USB Cable
      – CD With Printer Drivers and Electronic Manual
      – AC Power Cord
      – User Manual
      – 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty and Notice Sheet
