Software Update for the DNP WPS-1 is Now Available!
Just a few months after the first shipment of the WPS-1 Wireless Printer Server, DNP is happy to announce the availability of a great software update for this breakthrough device. This update improves output quality and adds very significant new features, making the WPS-1 even more capable. See below on How to Update the WPS-1 in Less than 10 Minutes. - Richer, more vibrant output (increased saturation)

How to Update the WPS-1 in Less than 10 Minutes
The software update is done in two steps, requiring you to reboot your WPS-1 twice.

The update downloadable file can be found at the following web address:

If your do not have access to an SD card or if you prefer to not to download the file, you can contact DNP technical support at 855-367-7604, provide your WPS-1 serial number and your mailing address, and DNP will mail you an SD card containing the update at no charge.
An Update to WPS Apps for iOS and Android is Coming on October 19, 2015.
DNP will make available an updated WPS Print application that includes the camera function and provides great new features including:
- Choose the print size – all print sizes available from WPS-1 (based upon the connected printer(s) and media) are automatically sensed and presented in the app
- Select multiple images to print at once from Camera Roll (iOS) or Gallery (Android)
- Choose number of copies, up to five (5)
- Ability to print from other apps using ‘share sheets’. The new WPS Print will automatically install support for sharing photos from any iOS or Android app that supports standard iOS or Android sharing functionality.
In order to work correctly, the new WPS Print app requires that your WPS-1 Wireless Print Server be updated to version 1.1 software. If a WPS-1 owner updates the app on their phone, they will be notified to update their WPS-1 the first time that the app is run.
WPS Version 1.1 Makes the Most of DS620A Printers!
Combined with the DS620A, WPS version 1.1 provides a fantastic range of print sizes. For example, attach two (2) DS620A printers to one WPS-1 Wireless Print Server, one with 6×8″ media and the other with 5×7″ media, and WPS-1 can make available seven (7) print sizes all at once:
- 5×7″ media: 3.5×5″(2-up), 5×5″, 5×7″
- 6×8″ media: 2×6″(4-up), 4×6″(2-up), 6×6″, 6×8″
